Taylor Creek Visitor Center and Boardwalk is situated between South Lake Tahoe and Emerald Bay. It’s short as a car drive, but if you like to bike, then it's your treasure! Mount a bike, whether your own or a rental, and enjoy pedaling along the lakeside in the town and then on a level, paved bike path through the forest on the outskirts of South Lake Tahoe. It's an easy ride with a nice ice cream parlor on the way. We loved to ride with our kids there in the summer, and we loved it even more in early October. Imagine aspen groves covered in gold, blue skies, distant mountain peaks over the lake and as a bonus, Taylor Creek full of bright red kokanee salmon making their way upstream to spawn. This is truly an amazing sight!
